Asus N81Vp is my Laptop of Choice this Quarter

If I were to buy a laptop, for home use, in October to December of this year, I would choose Asus N81Vp.Justify Full
Asus N81Vp will have the following specs:
  • Intel Core 2 Duo P8700 2.53GHz
  • 4 GB DDR3 Memory
  • 500GB Hard Disk
  • 14 inch Wide Screen HD Led Display, 1GB Video RAM DDR3
  • DVD Optical Drive
  • Windows Vista/ Eligible Upgrade to Windows 7
  • 2 Years Warranty
Priced for less than a $1000, this laptop is a value for the money given the above specifications.
In early October, I was on the look out of a laptop and this caught my attention. First is the Intel Core 2 Duo P8700 2.53Ghz. This is more than decent for you average every day use, say even running an anti-virus scan. It can handle multi-tasking smoothly, and your PC games decently. It is power efficient too.

Of course the memory and hard disk capacity is higher than the average laptops which only have 2GB memory and 250GB hard disk. This saves you from buying accessories and upgrading later on. The DDR3 memory as compared to DDR2 is more energy efficient so the laptop does not heat up that much.

The display is high definition however it is glossy therefore might be subject to a little glare when you use it on bright areas. The video memory 1GB ATI Radeon is a plus for those who will use the laptop not only for multi-media but also for light to moderate gaming too!

It also has an integrated operating system (Linux, i guess) for faster boot up (not the Windows). It is an optional feature in case you are in a hurry to use the basic applications like browsing the internet, chat, and Skype. It boots up the system without loading Windows.

Several colors are available for this model. However, at the store where I checked this, they only have Hot Pink.. Oh well, another color please, the Brown one is nice.
